Went to the storage lot to check on the motorhome and find out someone has run into it. Owners of the lot were helpful but not knowing what day it might have happened they couldn't check months worth of video. Of course as with all of these types of places they are not responsible for any damages. They will be look at the video but I'm not really expecting them to find anything. They do not allow citizens to view the video but if they find something I can file a police repot and they will burn a copy for them. 99% sure it was one of the tree trimming trucks that parks next to us but they have multiple trucks and the one that was parked there today does not match the marks. Have requested quotes from a couple of places but there are not many in the area that are equipped to work on motorhomes. I was soooo mad I could hardly see straight. DW says no big deal as it can be fixed but I am one of these perfectionist type people that keeps all of my stuff looking perfect. Of course no note or anything left. Why can't people just accept responsibility these days as that is what insurance is for. Looks like I'll have to cough up the $500.00 deductible to get it fixed. Hope this picture works as this is my first time trying to post one. Thanks for reading my latest rant.

Sorry that happened. I always suggest to people if it is at ALL possible to store at home (of course code varies) to do so. It is so worth building even a car port if needed to get by code. Storage fees $$ and who knows what may happen to a coach in one of those. My little C Toyota would not be a big deal, but I'd hate our A bounder to go through that. I'm looking at DP's (a bit) and would croak if a $100k+ coach got damaged with no responsible party there.Hopefully they'll find something. I don't understand why they won't let a "citizen" (by the way police are citizens, only military are not citizens) look at the video especially if it just dealt with your RV and you were a victim. There is just no reason I can think of especially if you wanted to take the time to do so.

File a police report, call your insurance company, and see if the insurance company would be willing to get a court order to see the video. It would benefit the insurance company as they could recover their hit&run uninsured motorist claim. Just think'in

Would love to store it at home but unfortunately no room. It cost me $100 per month for a blacktop spot with electricity. Finding something with electric is almost impossible and it sure comes in handy for keeping batteries charged and cooling down the fridge before a trip. Apparently it is company policy to not let renters view the video.

Everybody is unhappy when something happens, I hope you get reimbursed, but the damages could have been worseMaybe you can change spots next to another RV, away from the tree trucks

This kind of stuff is a regular occurrence these days.

Just last weekend, our dog had some stomach issues and woke me up at 2:00am or so to go out. At that time, I don't bother putting on my contacts, I take my 15 year old glasses with a prescription that works just well enough for that kind of thing. On the walk, I get to the corner where someone pulls into the parking lot to drop someone off, reverses out like nobody's business and smashes into a neighbour's car probably 50 feet from me. After a couple of seconds of wondering what they should do, tears off right by me. Of course, I wait because I know they got to get by me, but my glasses suck and I can't even get a plate #. Seemed stupid standing there telling the cops that the car passed within a few feet from me and I still couldn't get the plate.

It's just the audacity of the person because there was no way they didn't know I was there, I was under a light post as they went by for pete's sake, and no way they would have known that I couldn't see the license plate, but took the chance anyway.

Don't know about Minnesota, but in Florida there are mobile body work guys that take care of touch-ups for car dealerships that could easily make that go away.

Those marks on the bottom look like they will buff out with compound, the 3 in the red are deeper scrapes. You might be able to get some red touch up paint and carefully fill them in. Of course if you want to pay a bod shop to fix it that's your business.

I wouldn't assume it was a hit and run either. The scrapes are so slight that the tree guy probably didn't even realize he scraped your rig. Maybe he was towing a chipper trailer and that scraped your coach.

Any good body shop can repair that, some may have to work on it out doors, but it is still doable.

It looks like some of the marks MAY be able to be removed with polishing compound, as long as you do not go through the clear coat.

Same happened to my Beaver last year in storage. 1000 deductible at the time...ouch!!! Feel for you.

I have used a buffer some in the past but these are way beyond trying to buff out.

It's amazing sometimes what yo can fix that way.
