Running lights do not work...no cab lights....brake lights OK, signal lights OK.....FUSE MAYBE??

That would be the best place to start, before digging too deep. Electrical glitches are a crazy thing. All it takes is one simple fuse to throw everything out of wack. So, yes, I would definitely start by checking the fuses first. Although unlikely, you may also find that in some systems one burned out bulb can throw everything off (like a string of Christmas lights). Not likely with an RV... but stranger things have happened.
