Motorhome on beach

I'm not sure your camper will be allowed on the beach at Cape Cod. They are pretty strict about what goes on their beaches. Right down to tire width and winches.

Why do some people feel the need to belittle other and get so nasty ?

I think that's what some of us were trying to get across in replies to the OP. If you use some sense, spending the night on the beach with the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep, then waking up when the sun pokes above the ocean (for us east coast types) is really something to be experienced.

Of course, if you're a Bambi, you miss a lot of cool things in life just because something may go wrong.

It is not that creek is high in the summer (I wonder if there is any water in it this summer) but Ocean tides raise the level for few seconds so timing is everything.
Time to wash up and go home.

There's some good videos on You Tube of driving on the beach at Pismo and crossing the river there. I remember on video where that river was extremely high, couldn't believe people towing trailers across it.

That's funny ! And I needed to laugh.

We went to Pismo once, with out previous RV - 36' gasser pulling a 20' trailer loaded with 4 quads, dirt bikes and tools. I paid for an "escort", went at low tide, you drive on the hard pack sand near the wet line and when you get to where you want to be, you make a big looping 180 - making sure to stop at least 15' above the high tide line. It was a piece of cake ! More common sense that anything.

When the weekend arrived, I noticed (at low tide) many more RVs and toy haulers arriving and parking next to me, 2 deep closer to the water. They all hopped on their toys and went riding and hours later they had seawater in their trailers and RVs - not a good thing. I would have warned them, but I was out riding when they arrived......

Big picture - ask questions, ask locals, and if you have to pay an extra $15 do it !!

PS - the new rig is much heavier and I will never do it again. Any spot that is missing paint will have rust on in in 24 hours !!

Pismo Beach is kind of unique due to need of creek crossing on the beach.
Not too many flatlanders know how Ocean tides work and don't have brain to not to take the pass at high tide.
Anyway, I have a joke (really?) told me by Californian camper I met while camping ON THE BEACH in Baja California. Remote fish camp and our 2 families have been only campers there.

Successful CEO went for vacation to Mexico and while staying at 5-star beach resort, he took long hike along the beach.
In secluded area he saw a Mexican laying down on the beach, while fisherman boat standing on the sand close by and over the dunes he notice a house when in open window a woman was preparing a meal.
He approached the Mexican asking
"Is that boat for hire?"
"Si Senor"
"Any fish in those waters?"
"All you might want"
They agree on the price and went fishing.
Once the CEO drop the hook, it did not take long for a nice fish to catch. 1 hr later boat floor was covered with good fish and CEO could not hide his excitement.
"Is fishing always like that in here?"
"Si Senor"
"So why don't you seek more customers?"
"What for?"
"Once you advertise more, costumers will come and you start making good money"
"And then what?"
"Then you buy more boats, hire more people and start big bussines"
"And then what?"
"Than once business will explode, you can hire a leadman and open satellite office in New York"
"And then what?"
"Then you become a millionaire"
"And then what"
"Than you will afford to take vacations in Mexico and lay on the beach"

I would have no problem parking next to you in the picture you posted. IMO, that is NEAR the beach not ON the SAND. I'm not taking a 23 ton rig onto the sand. YMMV.

Agreed. We have a group that goes to Pismo Beach here in CA. But, I wouldn't want to get labeled a dumb ass for sharing our experiences. Seems like he only wants to listen if someone says its a great idea!!!
