mounting dish

I made an adapter plate for my tri pod and mount my winegard dome on it. I spike the tri pod to the ground for wind purposes and use a set of varied length cables to lock everything to the moho. Having to move it around does come up but rather infrequently so a variety of locking cables is handy. Keeping in mind if somebody wants something bad enough they are going to get it.

You mean that they see each other from the same dish? You do not mean one in the house sees the one on the RV, correct?

I've done a lot of griping about this so I need to make a boat vs RV comparison. The RV has 10x the storage room that the 43 ft boat had. The salon layout in the RV is 10 x as nice and roomy. The bedroom feels huge. The king adjustable bed is no comparison to the racks we slept in on the boat. Bedroom closet space is huge. The RV bathroom is gigantic and again, more storage. Shower is twice the size of the boat. Boat gas mileage was 10 gph at 8 mph and when you planed the beast off, it was about a 30 gph gas burn. The 3 AC systems on the boat never cycled on an 85 degree day. Once all systems are tweaked into working, I think we're gonna like RVing.

When I got the HR44 I kept the HR24 for a month to make sure the HR44 worked at home and in the RV. DTV sent a prepaid box to return it.

I could not resist buying a SWM splitter and trying both receivers. I wanted to verify that my SWM could handle 7 channels. I was surprised that the HR24 could see and play the HR44 recorded shows.

I don't know what they would do. As long as you pay the monthly fee no problem.

But they own the unit not you. You did not buy it just paid someone to get it for you.

Charlie: You don't get it yet....You have "traded" a hole in the water where you pour money in, to a very big box on wheels where you pour money in.

Yup, insulted and injured. I had such good experience with DTV on the boat. All customer service has gone down hill. But it will be a while before we travel more than 200 miles from home. I have little trust in this MH. The TV issue is fixed thanks to yours and others help. I hope I can reciprocate at some point.

I've been on the phone to Winnie and Norcold all day because the ice maker doesn't make ice. CW kept the MH for 3 weeks saying they were replacing the ice maker. We got it home, freezer temp read 4 degrees. I flipped the arm down, no ice. The valve under the sink was in line with the pipe or "on" for the water feed. I verified the unit was getting water by blotting about a cup of water out of the ice maker. Called Norcold and they said to make sure it was under 14 degrees, getting water and make sure I had the arm down.

CW as usual doesn't return calls. I don't believe they changed the unit out. My plan now is to do a few trips, make a list and take it to Apalache RV Service near Atlanta. The owner told me we could park on sight and have repairs done. It appears that's gonna be a frequent destination. I'm wishing now that I had bought a SeaRay

And adding insult to injury you don't even own that receiver as all DTV receivers are leased regardless of where you bought it...

On occasion I get someone that doesn't know how to change the service address or isn't otherwise trained to change the service address. I just hang up and call back.

I tried once to explain that this was not a RV account just a service address change and I got nowhere. Sure wish DTV would make this a online change.
