Bill, bingo. Everybody want's different things. After we sold the boat we tried several trips. There was always something we didn't like about the hotel, resort or where ever we went. The trips were all nice but not excellent.
It dawned on us that we were spoiled because with the boat we had everything the way we want it. We decided that a rolling hotel suite was how we wanted to travel. Having the bus in the back yard makes loading supplies easy. Staying in places that cost from $10 to $75 a night was very attractive.
I think that we'll be staying in cheap parks and driving the tow to the attractions we want to see. I knew boaters who lived on the hook 50% of the time and thought boaters who stayed in marinas with power, water and wifi wasn't really boating. That's okay. I love that some people want to park in treed locations with the great views but we can live with or without that.
As Spock said, "IDIC" or infinite diversity in infinite combination sums up my sentiments well. That's Vulcan for live and let live for the non trekker nerds.
2oldman, ha ha ha ha. That's funny.
