We upgraded to a Traveler. Last night we got the RV home and I got a good shot. The picture is perfect. I have two problems. First, the Direct box I had to buy from Weingard per Direct does not see my recorded shows from my satellite boxes in our home. This is very different from our boat set up. On the boat we got all of our recorded shows. Even when disconnected from the dish, we could still go to our list and watch recorded shows. We used to put kids in the salon and let them watch TV while underway and disconnected.
I suspect it's a set up issue because after running receiver tests I get error messages from two of the 3 satellites. Everything else works perfectly. We can record and watch from the box in the MH.
Additionally, the Direct box won't connect to the internet. In my driveway we are able to get a good 5G signal from the house and Roku streams just fine. So the issue lies in the Direct box and it's installation. FWIW the Traveler box is showing all three satellites after it finishes auto set up.
I have no reason to believe the dealer can correct this because they have been so incompetent on everything else.I do have the Direct in home service and have a tech coming out tomorrow to troubleshoot. My experience has been that some of these guys really know their business and some don't. I'm afraid I'm going to need more help than Direct can give.
