I have answers. The receiver on the MH will not see my recorded shows. So that capability changed with Genie technology.
Solution: The Genie works flawlessly on the MH so we can travel with the ability to record 5 and watch one live. Oddly enough, the Genie sees wifi from the house. The day we travel, I just have to install the Genie on the MH and we're golden.
We booted the Genie and started Modern Family from the recorded list and it works. Our Genie is in a location that is very easy to get to. Additionally it's smaller so cramming it into the tight spot it goes on the RV is much easier. I can live with this arrangement.
We needed an inverter for the HR24 to make it work in the house and to talk to the other HR 24 we have. The tech set it up. I know which wires to hook up so I can actually program shows on it to record while we're gone. The Genie will continue to record as programed when we're on the road. I do not completely understand how everything works but it works. In the navy we had an expression for it....PFM which is pure-------magic.
