Mounting TV on Wall

I have a TV in the BR and one in the dinette area. In both cases, they're small flat screen TVs. In the BR, there is a shelf that folds out to hold a regular square TV. I was able to bolt a wall mount TV bracket on the fold out shelf there and then fold it back up. I did the same thing on a cabinet door facing the dinette area. That door was hinged at the top, so I mounted the bracket on it. A bonus was that I was also able to place a DVD player inside the cabinet and hook it and the coax cable to the TV.
Both are small TVs, but in both cases, I'm pretty close to the screen.
