OK. They make different breakers for different parameters. WHAT makes you the expert on HOW MANY times you can turn a NON SWD breaker On and Off? 52 times a year would be WAY TOO MANY times for a non SWD breaker. It is NOT the breaker, but the LOAD(11 amps) that is surging thru the breaker contacs when turning on and Off. Pretty much the same principle when transferring loads on a 30 or 50 amp Auto Transfer box when the system has a load on it. After awhile the Transfer relay contacs pit and burn causing the Transfer box to malfunction. IF there is NO Load on that breaker, then turning a non SWD On and Off would have no problems. Doug
I am not going to argue the technical argument here at all
using a 15 amp breaker in the RV 120V breaker panel to shut a HWT off once a week will never hurt anything just because its not SWD rated
(which is for fluorescent lights)
