I-90 should be an excellent drive during that time frame. I don't see anything that should stop you from going that way. If you want to stay a bit farther South you can go 80 all the way to SLC, UT and up 84/82 to 90 and into Seattle. It only adds about 120 miles to the drive and your own piece of mind could make the extra expense well worthwhile.
