Getting ready to put coach into storage and just figured out how much gas I used for the season. I have seen lots of people ask this question so hear goes.I traveled 5,241 miles from March 31 to Oct 31st . We bought 744.9 gallons and averaged 7.2 to 7.5 miles per gallon with a cost of around 2,200 dollars. We tow a 4,700 pound Trailblazer 99% of the time . This is real world numbers and we have a 2011 Winnebago 36 ft 22,500 lbs chassis.
Could be just me but when my calculator does the math it comes up with 7MPG's
Might be why so many people get better MPG's than the rest of us.
5,241miles/744.9gal = 7.036 mpg's, Back when I had a V-10 it averaged 7 MPG for the 55,000 miles I put on it, no matter how I drove, with the exception of up hill and against the wind when it might get 5 MPG.
Now, it might be the generator but for most of us that number is just a guess.
JMHO,
