Mud flap extensions

I recently extended the behind the rear wheels mud flaps on my Class C. I needed to add 12ins. I purchases two heavy rubber universal mud flaps from a local truck accessory business. They were approximately 19 X 24 each. I cut the size I needed. I over lapped the bottom of the old flap and the new flap material about 2ins. and attached them horizontally with bolts and locking nuts through pre-drilled flat metal front and back and the two layers of flap material. The flaps are now 4ins from the ground.
