I'm 66 and while not a professional mechanic (I'm a geologist) I've done nearly all my own car, motorcycle, and boat repairs all my life. After I began working on the 1994 Holiday Rambler, I bought a year ago, I soon learned that simple tasks I'd done many times over, like simple tune-ups, shock absorbers, etc., have a way of becoming nightmare projects on the beast. Having a high mechanical aptitude can be a gift and it can also be a curse (LOL).
