Steve, On the left exhaust manifold are 2 flair nut fittings, one for the AIR and one for the EGR. If you take a small ball peen hammer and tap around on those flair nuts, it will shake the rust loose and allow you to unscrew them. I don't recommend penetrating oil on those fittings. The penetrant keeps the rust from falling free and gums things up. Your mileage may very. :)
