The project’s moving forwards. Since I’m semi-retired (and getting no work at all now with the oil price drop) I like to take my time with projects. No more weekends-from-hell trying to complete a task before I have to go back to work on Monday.
This morning I spent a few hours clearing out the AC condenser, the transmission oil cooler, the radiator and all the various pieces of steel that support everything. I was anxious to see exactly how much room I’d have pulling the engine through the front. Now that I have it all apart it’ll be a good time to pull the heater coil and send it off to the radiator shop for repairs. I may send the radiator too, though I have a feeling that the rig has a newer replacement radiator. After 12 noon it begins to get hotter than I like to work in.
Monday morning I’ll be picking up the engine lift at the rental place. I’ve rented it for a week so that I won’t be rushed trying to complete the job.
