That little piece of ingenuity was done by Chevy on the 454 for the P32 chassis.
No such luck on Fords F53 chassis.

Ingenious maybe, but it made timing an engine a 2 person job.
Some of us are capable of moving back and forth between distributer and timing light. Some not.

Why? I'm not a rookie, I'm fully capable of going into the MH and adjusting the distributer and then going under the MH and checking the timing again.
Now you know how to do it too.
