Due to unforeseen circumstances I am selling my RV. I am not advertising here just want to share my experience. I have removed the RV from my profile while this post is active.
The RV has a NADA "Average Retail" of $77,900. I have advertised in in several places about $9000 lower than that price with little replies.
To date RTV.com has 3:1 views over RVTrader. Kind of funny that a site with free advertisement gets better views than a site I paid to place an ad. I called a local dealership who offered $50,000 sight-unseen and said they may be able to kick it up a couple grand once they see it.
I has a reply from an email from fulltimer68@mail.com. This address looked fishy with just @mail instead of @yahoo, gmail, or ymail so I did a search and it turns out to be a spammer.
I also had a couple tire kickers reply on Craigslist.
I talked to a couple consignment places and also not seeing the unit said I could get $50,000-$55,000 in my pocket after the 10% fee is paid. They did say they could lower the fee if it sold in a short period since the overhead would be less.
I knew I would take a beating on this thing if I sold it but I didn't think it would be this bad.
The NADA average retail is $77,900 - what is the low retail?
