I just don't see a growing market for Class A's anymore, or even RV'ing in general.
I strongly Disagree !!!!
The RV market is booming due to the now retiring Baby Boomer Generation. I have recently retired from RV Sales at a very large dealership, and they were selling faster than we could get them in.
The highways, and campgrounds are full of RVs and many RV parks require reservations up to a year in advance!!
The following information is directly from RVIA's website for 2013-2014:
RV wholesale shipments reached their highest level in six years, growing 12.2% to 299,451 units in year-to-date shipments through November, according to RVIA’s monthly survey of RV manufacturers.
Cumulative annual towable RV shipments totaled 264,019 units, a 9.7% gain over the 240,734 total reported through November last year. Travel trailers have gained 11.7% to 184,473 units; fifth wheel travel trailers have increased 6.5% to 65,773 units; truck camper shipments are up 2.8% to 3,294 units; and, folding camping trailers are off 0.9% to 10,479 units.
Meanwhile, motorhome shipments have also enjoyed STRONG GAINS rising 36% to 35,432 units. Class A motorhomes are up 30.2% to 17,439 units; type B motorhomes have risen by 3.4% to 2,034 units; and, type C motorhomes climbed 49.2% to 15,959 units.
Seasonally adjusted, November’s totals reached an annualized rate of more than 366,500 units, second only to last month’s 390,000 unit performance so far.
Go Figure!!
