It seems to Me ,after speaking to several folks with New or near new units that the easy Finance of their Rigs was much more important to them than owning an Older Rig that is paid for!
It is not easy to obtain financing on Older Units and there are fewer people willing or able to lay out Cash these days!
We are selling our rig now and two things have stuckout so far. 1. We have had two couples look at and like the rig but both went and bought $70k new fivers because of financing deals. 2. As mentioned earlier 95% of the country is frozen right now; would you buy a rig if you had to bring it home and park it for 3 more months?
