I agree there are too many snarky comments around here sometimes. Service seems to be an issue almost everywhere these days. Some times its good, sometimes not. If you are lucky an experienced well qualified tech gets assigned to your coach. Unlucky and you get a newbie or a marginal tech. The service writers almost always are friendly folks, etc. But their job is to reassure you. They don't do the actual repairs. Many companies are having a hard time recruiting skilled repair people to replace their older highly experienced guys who are retiring or switching to less physically demanding jobs. Also many repair facilities are paying their people on a flat rate basis which means the mechanic is being pushed to do the work as fast as possible and get it out the door quickly. And finally, the recent deep RV recession put many good people out the door and the best of them found work elsewhere and won't go back.
