Worst service experience ever!

Glad to hear that everything worked out. Too often we are left wondering what if anything was done to resolve the complaint. Thank you for reporting back that Good Sam worked with you and hopefully made things right. You are correct, you can't erase the bad service event, but at least they stepped up and acknowledged the problem and shows the integrity of the company.

OK, I am the OP and it's time to put a close to this thread.

I have been in communication with GSRA. I explained my situation and my complaint. They checked into it, details, phone records and such. Surprisingly they came up with this: they had a failure. They failed to provide the service, they failed in darned near every regard. The wheels came off.

But - they owned up to it. No excuses, no back paddling. They own the failure and have convinced me it is not how they do business. Very refreshing!

My bad experience is real and can't be undone. But it is rare when a company belly's-up to say you are right, we screwed up. They have done this.

I am fully satisfied that they are sincere in wanting to provide good service. I and satisfied they want us to have a good customer experience. I appreciate the resolution of this matter and consider it closed.

Comcast, AT&T, are you listening...?

I have had a blow out and GS has sent out a Tire Service truck with a new tire. Same size, same brand.....Tire was at my expense.

I hope you are not expecting GOOD SAM to pay for your new tire!! Their policy is to replace your blown out tire with your mounted and inflated spare. if you have no spare they will try and get a tire service to try and find a tire in your size and replace your blown out tire with the new tire but the cost of the tire is your response=ability. It is spelled out in the policy, take a look. And this is policy for almost all roadside assistance companies. just a heads up.

Good Sam will attempt to find a spare for you from a company, but, there is no guaranty that someone in the area will have a spare in your size AND you are at the companies mercy as far as price. Everyone should carry a spare if possible to avoid the long delay and excessive prices.
