I got lost watching the vid...the first 5 mins or so was about a screw....who cares?..get a small piece of wood, nail or glue it in place and get on with it. I know you had issues with the last one, (you never saw it's replacement) and the slide issue was a valid argument. That said, IMHO, Thor, and IIRC, Camping World, stepped up to the plate and replaced the coach. I'm not sure any other mfg would have done that.
Yes, it probably took the tech longer to find the tape and put it on the screw than it would have been to find a small block of wood and do it right, but while you spent a bunch of money on a coach, IMHO, at that price point you're going to get things like that. High quality techs cost more, which raises the price of the end product. Fords are cheaper than Lamborghinis. Fix it yourself, move on and enjoy what time you have left on this earth....Dennis
I've owned Fords since I've been old enough to suck my thumb. I have never had as many problems with Ford's as I have with Thor. IMHO, it is a disgrace to put what they have put on a Freight liner Chassis.
One big difference is a car or truck is built on an automated assembly line with parts that are put together with very tight tolerances. RV's are not built that way.
I feel your pain. I went through a lot of problems with mine. Some were fixed by the dealer in a long drawn out process. Many times I would find the dealer either did a poor job making the repair or made more problems while fixing the original problem. In the end I fixed the remaining problems myself.
When you are posting about your RV, talking to the manufacturer or putting videos on youtube you have to keep emotions out of it. I know it is hard with the $$$$ you have into your RV but you have to do it.
Fix everything and get out and start having some positive experiences with your beautiful motor home.
