Yup, they have a business model that works very well in this economy. It is truly sad but it is what it is. The wal-mart parking lot here is always full as well even though they don't always have the lowest price or a shred of their original Walton "values" these days.
He may influence a few people to stay away from Thor or at least look a little deeper before buying. If I were in the market for a new coach, it sure as heck wouldn't be a Thor product, no matter how high their earnings get. I don't really see how their profitability has anything to do with their quality; instead, I think it is something of an inverse relationship in this case. If you just spit out as many coaches made for as cheap as you can and do the bare minimum to support them after the sale, you are going to do well. They will continue to do well because these days, a low price seems to be the primary thing influencing buying decisions.
