"nana block"

We are in the process of purchasing a used 2002 Holiday Rambler Imperial from PPL.

There were a few issues that we wanted corrected before we closed, and most seem to be going well. There is, however, one issue I don't understand. Seems to be a problem with the fresh water system, and we have been told that the "Nana Block" needs to be repaired or replaced, and the cost will be about $1700.00 Seems like a complex and expensive system just to get water to the faucet.

Does anyone know what a Nana Block is, and what is it's function.

Thanks

I don't want to rain on your parade but I would not buy it if the plumbing has issues right out the gate unless the owner/dealer does the repair 1st at their cost.

When I bought my 2008 used Bounder at dealer during the test/checking the system we found a water leak, they jumped over hoops to fix it fast, it was not a easy fix either but they took care of it while I waited and never charged me a penny..

How ever you are probably buying a unit that is cosigned and the dealer might not be on the hook for repairs, either have the owner now pay for it or have the price reduced.
  • OK, thanks. I am thinking the term manabloc got morphed into nanabloc because it was passed from service tech to sales lady to wife, to me. But, still, at $1700.00, it damn well better be made of gold and installed by the Swedish Bikini Team.

$1700 for a Manabloc...??? Who are they kidding? The unit itself can be bought for around $150. Then you have the labor to install, but I can't imagine that much. Here's a video to familiarize yourself with the system. It is great if you have any water issues as you can isolate that circuit pretty quickly and easily....Dennis

Ken, this is why you post on RV.Net! Make the dealer pay the $150.00 and install it or it's a deal breaker!
