Yeah .... I discovered that needing-to-buy-another-one baloney right after I posted above. Dumb policy, huh.
What on Earth is the number on one's original Senior Pass for? It would seem that part of the reason would be to replace verified holder's passes if they lost one - with a new ID number on it - and of course costing a small replacement fee.
Maybe with the Senior Pass costing only $10, repurchase instead of replacement can be rationalized .... but with a Senior Pass costing $80, there definitely should be a (low processing fee) replacement system in place in case of loss or damage.
