Considering the torque necessary when the wheels are mounted, the danger of changing the tire on the side of the road, the 200# tire itself and the room it takes to store it and the rare occurrence of a flat tire, I believe it's a waste of time, energy and room to carry a spare.
Same here. We drove our 40' MH 10 years without a spare and had no flat tires. We even traveled to Alaska. We replaced the tires before they needed it. Some folks carry old spares that we certainly wouldn't trust putting on. Tires on big rigs are heavy and take up a lot of space. No spare needed, in our opinion. Instead, we opted for a tire pressure monitor system.
