What do you mean that you do not have to take the outer dual rim off to change that tire? Do you not require a machine to switch those tires out?
I have never seen a machine for changing big truck tires... A tire hammer if the bead is still on the rim but usually not after a blowout. Two tire irons and some muscle plus a block to go under the good tire is all it takes. A little liquid soap for the tire bead and your hands afterwards. Takes longer to air the tire up than to change if you know what you are doing.
This guy is pretty good:
UtubeBecause the drop in the rim is off center it's much harder... closer to impossible to get the tire off the rim on the front and inside dual so it's easier to take the rim off the axle. With it on the ground you can stand on a tire with a stiff sidewall when getting it to go into the drop so it will come off.
And just for fun for those of you up north... I do this also, but he used five times more than necessary for that size tire. Most of the new starting fluids have been changed so they do not pop as
well. And for my favorite use of starting
fluid.
