So far my only tire trouble was at home where the inside rear went flat due to a leaky valve stem extender. I just drove it the 3 miles to a dealer and had the tire re-mounted. I have been considering options for when good roadside service is not available and one is to carry a good sized bottle of tire sealer for small leaks. I have a hose and chuck to refill tires with the on-board compressor.
If I am in a really bad spot without road service and only one flat I may consider removing the bad tire and replacing it with one of the inside rear tires filled to max pressure. Since my coach is light enough that I don't need to run my tires anywhere near max pressure I should be able to drive 20 0r 30 miles at low speeds without any trouble. My leveling jacks will pick up any of the tires so I don't need extra equipment there and my wood leveling blocks should work as a jack stand. I found a 42" long breaker bar on McMaster.com that should let me break the nuts loose if a mechanic does not overtorque them(I know, it does happen a lot). I have taken the tires off once at home and it was a quite job. I am only 53 now. Another 10 years and I probably won't consider doing it again under any circumstances. Maybe I will be able to find a yougster willing to show off and put him to the task.
