Flarpswitch,
I reconfigured our kitchen base cabinet drawers from 5 little ones (and pull-out butcherblock counter) to 3 huge capacity ones detailed
HERE which nearly doubled our kitchen storage. I initially had 5 double-strength magnetic catches on each drawer to hold it closed, but in Glacier NP on an extremely bumpy hairpin turn, all three drawers popped open and broke through the drawer glide stops and crashed onto the floor. The sure-fire solution was installing the push-button locking latches. I don't know if you need to go that far, but it solved our problem. It also allowed me to reduce our magnetic catches to two per drawer, enough to hold the drawers closed when unlocked and parked on a bad slope. My wife surely appreciated that. She hated using so much strength to open the drawers with 5 magnets each.
