Need advice on couch/bed upgrade in Montaj

Question

Hello!My sig other and I have recently purchased our first RV. We are such newbies at this and need some advice. We purchased a 2010 Gulfstream Montaj and love it. However, the previous owner removed the sofa bed from the couch and we need the sleeping space that would provide.We are interested in any and all advice you can provide on how to accomplish this ASAP. We would either be looking for a kit to re-install the pull out bed (if that's even possible), buy a jackknife sofa, and where to find them IN stock and not have to wait weeks for delivery.Any input? Thanks :)

dont quite understand how you could remove the bed mechanism from the sofa and could be able to sit on it. Sounds like you might have to purchase a new one, I dont like jack knife sofas

A LOT of the RV furniture is made by Flexsteel. We had one of their sofa beds with a combo foam/air mattress bed. The top layer was foam and the bottom half inflated. It could have been removed and the sofa would have still been usable.

If you can determine the manufacturer of the sofa bed, you might be able to order the mattress it originally came with.
