Thanks for the suggestions. We ended up having it done locally but learned a couple of things in the process.
The first guy we talked to said we'd have to bring in the motorhome and leave it there because they'd have to dismantle the exhaust first thing, and it wouldn't be drivable until after the parts came in and were installed. We asked about staying in the RV (we're fulltimers), and he said that wouldn't be possible, but said there's a Holiday Inn Express nearby.
That's what sent us looking for a fulltimer-friendly place to have the work done.
But we decided to go over there in person anyway, to check things out, and talked to the guy who actually does the work and he said we could bring in the moho and he could take all the measurements to get the parts ordered, and then we could come back to get the work done. That was a little better, even though RV parks in the Pittsburgh area are few and far between.
But we decided to do it (bird in the hand and all), and took it in on Monday morning. It turned out that he had enough parts on hand to do the job, except for a chrome exhaust tip, but he made it so that can be bolted on, so we can easily get that done later.
He said he was pretty sure he'd get it done that day, and if that didn't work he could probably "work something out" about staying in the motorhome that night. But it was unnecessary because it took only a few hours.
We've been only about 100 miles since then, but so far it's held together.
I'm annoyed that the original guy we talked to wasn't more accurate about what they could do. They would have lost us as customers if we hadn't taken the initiative to go over in person. And generally, I'm okay with not giving my business to places that don't seem to want it, but this time we were kind of desperate. :)
