A quick search shows prices all over the place for this model....one dealer has a new one for $60k and another is selling a used one with 2k miles on it for $60k. Bumpy says plan for a $20k hit if you sell next year, I would say up to that amount, you may do a little better depending in how strong the market is.
Jayco is a good brand, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a GM chassis from a quality standpoint.
HOWEVER, RVs are not an investment, they are a depreciating asset with high maintenance costs. If you are worried about the unit holding it's value because you're not sure you will keep it, I would say buy a USED one, then if you decide after next year that you like the RV lifestyle, THEN buy a new one. If you buy a good used unit, you can sell it for just about what you paid for it after a year and 3k miles. There is always a good supply of used units because of guys like you that buy new then sell it after a year and 3k miles.... :)
If money's not the object, then take the unit, enjoy it, and worry about next year when next year comes. Be proud of your wife for knowing exactly what you wanted and negotiating a good deal on it.
