- Fleetwood_CouplExplorerUpdate, Jack still stuck, when using the control panel to attempt to raise it, the bolt on the motor spins, so it is getting power and the motor is turning. Anyone ever open one of these up before? Is there something that could be stripped?
- krivanjExplorerIf you call Fleetwood direct, they are usually very good about helping with advice.... I'm not sure who you called.
- Fleetwood_CouplExplorerTried the manual retraction steps in the guide from the manufacture and it doesn't retract it is however 4 inches off the ground. But the fault won't let the other jacks move. Called the 24 hour number and a technician did call back only to say the will only help with new vehicles.
- Dick_BExplorerI thought duplicate posts were not allowed...
- klmExplorerI have had to use a 2x4 to lever my HWH jack up. I wedge the 2x4 under the jack, and with the system in "retract" mode I push it up.
- obgrahamExplorerI've said it before: everyone seeing this post who has a rig with levelers should go to their manuals or to the company website today. Find the emergency retract procedures. They are different for each model/manufacturer but they do exist. Write a checklist for it and put it where you can find it.
My experience is that this always happens when it's dark, rainy, muddy, or in a cramped spot. And you are in a hurry to be somewhere else. - Fleetwood_CouplExplorerThanks, I will try that in the morning when its light out and not raining. I guess the slides will be staying in tonight.
- RV_CONUSExplorerOn mine, I can use a cordless drill with I believe a 1/2" socket and bring it up.
Had one stick a few years ago, and the Tiffin Tech walked me through a fix by turning the bolt and then attempting to use the control panel to raise it.
Worked like a charm, haven't had a problem since.
Good Luck.
