Scott, Denver is a very difficult place to stay on short notice. Just went through yesterday.
We couldn't get a reservation anywhere so we stopped in Breckenridge at the Tiger Run RV Resort. Beautiful place and a little pricey at $100 a night.
We had this same problem a few years ago and ended up staying in Englewood (south of Denver) at the South Park mobile home and RV park (no dogs allowed). The neighborhood is a little iffy but once in the park, it is very nice and clean. They were full this time.
Whatever you decide, make your reservation as early as possible!
