My Coach has a Jensen VR182 dash radio. The back-lighting on the screen has died making the information on the screen difficult to read. I contacted Jensen about repairs and they do not offer such a service. To make matters worse, the model that replaced this unit is larger and will not fit the opening in the dash. Does anyone know of a company that offers repair services on these types of radios?

see if you can find a 2 way radio dealer that does police ,fire etc alot of them have bench techs they might be able to help you but be prepared it will prob cost more than a new one

You may check on eBay to find a replacement for your old unit. Since the VR182 is not longer in production, you may be able to pick one up for a song. Then it is just a simple pull one out and slide the new one in. Probably much cheaper and less hassle than trying to repair the old radio.\I forgot to add that if you go to a large retailer like Best Buy, that deals with radio installation, you may find that there are several other radios that may just plug right into your existing frame.

try turning your headlight control button, on our rv if you turn the knob the lights on the dash and radio get dim or bright.
