need help

Hi,
I need to travel from Seattle to San Diego to see my sister who has cancer and doesn't have much time. Can't drive straight through in class our c so need a spot to stop on the way down. Any good advice as to where to stop over night? Can't fly due to heart issues. My wife will be driving as well so we can probably do 10 hours of driving per day.
Thanks for any advice.

Your First Post... Welcome!!! Sorry you're having a family crisis. Stick with us. This is a good gang.
  • I've done plently of 650 to 700 mile days in a class A pulling a toad. It helps to stay in Rest areas or Walmarts so you can save the time of checking in and getting to your spot. You can also leave early in the a.m. A good stop over, half way through the trip is the Walmart in Red Bluff, CA. The reviews say it's pretty, safe and spacious.

I created this trip in rvparky.com if the OP wants to see it and explore other options.
  • A quick Google Map says it's 1256 miles. Kind of hard to do that in a Class in 2 days. Shortest way is I-5.
  • Have you done a Mapquest search to see what the distance involved is? I think it will require at minimum a two day stop, even driving ten hour days. Driving at 65 mph you will drive 650 miles in a single day, at best. Once you determine the total mileage, you can begin to plot where to stop for the night.
