"Batt" light indicates the rig is running on battery. Flickering would be a fault in the system.
Sounds like a loose connection or bad contact.
It could be in the battery control center. This would depend on whether the rig has a charging relay with-in the battery control center. The alternator power is not getting to the system if it is putting out while flickering is occuring.
