Two stories. both true. I am "party of the part" so this is testimony.
1: I blew my main engine, so for 3 years I was stuck in GA, this includes when Matthew (hurricane) came calling, I was 3 miles out of the mandatory evac zone.
I used the main tank.. Added a can of SEAFOAM stablizer (Was warned against Sta-Bil but note today Sta-Bil has a special product for E-10)
I did, have to add gasoline to the tank from time to time.. But I never had any fuel related issues (Save for running out,,,,, on my way OUT of GA) with the generator (And that was swiftly solved as I stopped at ye-old-Gas-Station,,, as planned,,, long (like 100 miles long) before the tank actually hit empty)
Got the replacement engine (Which had sat for over a decade in a crate,, Properly maintained by the mechanic who both used to own it and who installed it for me) and when we fired it up.. Well the first couple of times were a bit noisy (Valve clatter TO BE EXPECTED) but on the 3rd time it purred well enough my cat was jelous of how well it purred (not really but you get the idea) ZERO fuel related issues.
Still purred as of last week. Of course I've run multiple tanks of fresh gas through it since.
Story 2
While I was stuck in GA there was an old man who abandoned his RV on site, a nice Class A. Workhorse chassis same as mine, some differences (I like his jacks better than I do mine) It had sat so long the batteies were FLAT and I mean FLAT, they would not even take a charge.. So working with the park man-friday and the camp host I was able to get the slides pulled in, Replaced the engine battery and moved the RV from SITE to Storage. Eventually the man's relatives came and fetched it.
That RV had been sitting for at least 5 years. DO NOT know if the fuel was stablized or not.. ENgine ran like it did on day one when the Righ was new. NO problems (I do admit I only drove it about a quarter mile around the RV park).
I would do the following.
Last trip of season FILL THE TANK and add SEAFOAM
Don't worry about it.
Also, I would recommend.. IF YOU STORE AT OR NEAR (100 feet) YOUR HOUSE.
Have an electrician install a proper generator transfer switch that lets you switch SELECTED loads to the generator List follows. With an INLET on the RV side of the house.. Install a matching outlet on the RV 30 amp and have him make you a cord to connect.
RV generator only does 120 volts. may do 1 or 2 legs (the cord can adapt from 3 wire to 4 wire.. You might also consider making the RV outlet a TT-30 (Be kind to neighbor plan when you are in a RV park with a power fail).
When I came home from church and found Frosty the air blown inflatable snowman sleeping on the job..
I got said cord
Plugged the outlet end onto the house INLET
Uncoiled as I approached the RV
Plugged the plug end into the RV's outlet
Fired up the Generator (After attaching the Gen-Turi. DO Add a Gen-Turi when generating please) and back to the basement with flashlight.

NOW one light (the hall light we almost never used, save for times like this) was NOT connected to the "E" panel (Generator transfer or Emergency) It was only connected to MAINS.
Back upstairs in a swiftly warming up house (it was New Year's Eve in Michigan) and turn on that light,,, which of course remained dark
When I saw the light.
Back to the basement to switch back to MAINS and out to the RV to shut down the generator.
All that re-wiring.. well along with other work it was a couple thousand, (NOTE other work was major part of job).
