Need mobile mechanic

Thanks Trap and to all that commented. As I had said before the initial problem was a blown power steering hose that pumped about 30 liters of ATF on the campsite. A neighbor went out and bought me 3 bags of kitty litter which I put down on the spill. The mechanic got me up and running Sunday pm. Then he found the flex pipe was rusted out and wide open next to the oil pan. I didn't want to chance a fire, as we had a 4hour drive in front of us, so he came back on Monday a put a new piece on. So 900 dollars later we were on the road. It was a blessing that it happened where it did.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, but really glad that your getting them solved. Glad to hear it wasn't anything to major.

Thanks Dennis, you are right about the PS hose and he was able to get the parts and fix it yesterday. The flex hose for the exhaust, he will pick up this am and then come out and put it on. Unsure of the other thing you wanted me to have him check in the cooling system, but we checked tranny and all other things connected to the hydraulics. Macktee

Sounds like the hydraulic hose that drives the power steering unit and the cooling fans on the radiator let go. Easy, but messy fix. Be sure to check the SCA in your cooling system when he's finished. Be happy you were in the campground when it happened....let us know what he finally did to fix your coach, get his name and number and be sure to post in rvservicereviews.com....Dennis

Here is the update. We tried the CG owner but they did not know. I also tried Harpers but there was no answer. Then I called Good Sam roadside assistance and within 90 minutes I had a mechanic working on the coach. While under there he discovered another potential problem. The flex hose on the exhaust pipe was broke wide open next to the oil pan and with all the hydraulic oil I don't want to take a chance of fire. He will be back in the morning with the parts. Try Harper Freightliner. I believe they have a mobile service. Harper Truck Centre

Sounds like a broken line maybe. Not a huge problem but a problem!

The CG owner/mgr will have the number for the BEST mobile repair in that area. And most likely services that CG often. Don't panic, you will get better service from that RV mobile repair guy than ANY dealership!

I 'plan' to have ALL my repairs and maintenance done at CG's using their local recommended RV Mobile Repair.
