I would start with new batteries since you say there are no extra loads.
Get a battery watering system or AGM to reduce maintenance issues.
I have a battery watering system on my 4x GC2 and well worth the price for the safety alone.
AGM charges faster but will not increase actual capacity.
At this point you might benefit from a clamp-on DC ammeter to see what is actually coming and going with your battery or other systems.
