I am a plumber and install whole house generators..
Looking at your system I am starting to understand what you have. And down the road you need to find a guy that knoes that system and can talk to you logically about upgrades as we speak about without ripping you off.

Looks like you have a load shedder.. That means if your running the micro wave and some other high wattage appliance , and if the generator cant handle it, the loads will disconnect or shed in a specific order.
Certain items take priority, and thats just how they are wired. We do the same for residential homes.
A/c first, Electric stove second, etc etc.
Im going to read a bit more and see if I can find what charges your batts on the grid and at what voltage..
