My wife and I are looking to purchase our first RV. After much discussion we have determined that we would be best to purchase the smallest DP we can. We have tight winding steep roads to our mountain house. We will be on the road for a month at home for a month. Some road trips might last longer. We need the best gas mileage we can get as I will be crossing the country working on a Wounded Warrior project and using my own money for fuel. It is just the two of us but we need lots of storage. I don't like loud vehicles therefore the DP. We need to purchase very soon, but won't pull the trigger if it's not right.
Thanks,

What you will soon find out, is that fuel costs are insignificant with ownership, but maintenance/repairs and especially depreciation per mile is costly, but having said that and for huge amounts of free fuel, get yourself an older coach that's been tried and proven, along with saving yourself some stress and aggravation with the Dealers, when buying new.
Also, you might want to think long and hard before buying too small, especially for basement storage and can't hardly believe that any road is too winding for a longer one. I mean, how many miles of these twists and turns are you talking about? Just asking cuz I've heard this before from people who live on a school bus route. In the end, you know best, so just sayin.....
