1. Do your research. No matter what you want to buy, there will be many of them available, all over the country. Learn the asking prices of all of them. Know that these are ASKING prices, not necessarily the selling prices.
2. Look up your preferred MH on NADA.com. Know that the NADA prices are often MUCH higher for a specific MH than the market will bear. (The "average used retail" for my coach was listed as $346,795....I paid the dealer $225,000)
3. As others have said, be ready to walk if the prices you are quoted are not in line with the national market prices for a similar coach.
4. To the extent you can, stay away from the dealer's finance department..pay cash, or arrange your own financing. Be wary of ANY extended warranty offered by the dealer's finance department.
5. Be prepared to travel..the best selections and prices are not likely to be close to home.
