I bought a new 2020 Winnebago Intent Class A in March, 2020. Water is starting to enter at least three of the storage compartments underneath the coach on both sides. The storage areas have watertight plastic sections and they have a significant amount of water pooled in them and storage boxes in them have gotten soaked. I plan to replace those with watertight plastic storage bins.I have not been driving the vehicle in the rain over the last 2 weeks as I have been living in an RV park. We have had a few rain showers, some very heavy, during that time. The weatherstriping on the storage compartments seems to be intact. I also noted that the boxes stored on the raised area in the center of the pass through storage seem to be dry.Questions:Do you think it could be a leak from the roof? The motorhome is only 1 month old. I haven't seen signs of water anywhere inside.Could it be from my gray or black tanks overflowing? A couple of times the gray tank was full. Once it started to pool in the shower before I realized my mistake.Where does the water go if those tanks overflow before I dump them? What can a service center do in a situation like this? What do you suggest I do?

Trying to find where water comes from is always a **** shoot. You stated that both sides of the coach are getting water in the bays. I guess first off did you notice water in bays before the rain came. Did you notice water before the gray tank over flowed. Looking at pictures of your unit it looks like the slides cover the doors to the bays. I would however look at the weather striping on the bay doors. Look mainly at the top of the doors where the slides a line. The weather stripping may be folded or not in the correct place. But you said in more than one bay. If you looked after the grey tank it could be from that, however the water would have to run through the floor to get to the bays.I used to have a Thor ACE and each outside bay was a plastic mold by its self. I got water in the bays also and it was caused by the seals not being correct. In looking at the bays I noticed an area that was made for a drain hole. I took my drill and made a few small drain holes to at least take care of the bays holding the water. I know that did not solve the problem but it did solve water in the bay.I would go to the Winnebago Forums also and ask the question.

My buddy had a similar problem with a few of the storage bays on his 17 Fleetwood Bounder. he took it on and they replaced all the W-strips with thicker ones. The doors take a little more effort to close but no more leaks. What you can do is take some Vaseline and coat around where the w-strip touches the door, then close the door gently and latch it. Then open it and see where the Vaseline didn’t transfer to the w-strip or where it very faint.

Yes, the water can come from your holding tanks over flowing, if the basement bays are attached to the main body of the coach and do not move out with a slide room. You should be able to tell from the type of water you had to dry up. Do not let your holding tanks get too full. It does not take much over flow leakage to seem like a lot and make a mess. If you dry up the bays, and don't let your tanks get too full and you still have the issue, you need to talk to your dealer.Good luck-- Mick

I would take a flash light and put it inside the leaking bays at night and check to see where the seals are leaking then bring it into dealer and have him fix it under warranty. Mine was out of warranty and I fixed one by adjusting the door latch to draw door tighter to the seal and another by putting rope behind the flange in the seal effectively eliminating the gap of the seal.

If you’re holding tanks are overflowing into the bays somethings wrong they should be watertight you need to get them fixed the only way you will know if it’s water coming from the holding tanks is to fill them completely up and watch for the water to be dripping into the bays clean both tanks completely and drain them and then fill one at a time completely full until the water is backing up into the shower in the toilet and if there’s a water leak from the holding tanks it will show up like I said there should be absolutely no leaks from either tank if it’s a 2020 it’s under warranty Winnebago will fix it
