We set the timing with that wire disconnected. I believe it is tan with a black sripe. Just to clarify for everyone the poping/backfire only happens under hard acceleration at 3000 RPM and above only. NEVER at any other RPM. Does not happen at all under easy acceleration. SO as you say, it also leads me to believe there is a fuel delivery problem at those hard and higher RPMS
