- carringbExplorerI change the oil every 10-12,000 miles on synthetic or 5-7,000 using synthetic blend. I do the transmission fluid every 100,000 miles but I do all 18 quarts, instead of doing 6 quartz every 30,000 miles. Other than that... I pretty much follow spec. Plugs every 100,000 miles, coolant at 150,000. I do the diff oil at 150,000 because that's the spec for Ambulances (normally they say its good for life).
I actually drive it REALLY hard. My combined weight is usually 22,000 but up to 25,000. Its got the Banks power pack and a programmer, and I've raised shift points and the fuel cut, and will run it over 5,000 RPM for sometimes 15 minutes at a time. Lot's of STEEP climbs and off-pavement driving.
Really, the only thing to do special is I have a no short trip policy. If it won't be fully warmed up when it gets parked again, it doesn't get driven. - RacerX10Explorer

Looks like it's time for a little dusting. :B
Thanks for the picture .. that's what mine is missing.
It looks like you can buy "airbag simulators" (which are probably just a resistor in heat shrink tubing) for 29 bucks. Guess I'll go that route if I decide for sure I need to disable it. The car seat sits pretty far back from the airbag, so it's possible it's a safe distance back. Still checking on that. - mlts22Explorer II

408,000 miles. Should be adding a lot more soon. I took the rest of the summer of so I can have more fun time. At least 200,000 of those are towing miles too.
Got any maintenance suggestions to keep things humming that long? - Mich_FExplorerHere's a slightly better picture.

If your coach does not have an airbag de-activation switch (lower right of the stereo) then dealer will have to add it. Some U-haul or Ryder service centers may be able to add it too.
It doesn't have the switch. Looks like a hole plug where it aught to be. I wonder if anybody here has had that added ?
* UNRELATED - do you seriously have 400,000 miles on your V-10 E-350 ?!#@$?!@#$? - carringbExplorerIf your coach does not have an airbag de-activation switch (lower right of the stereo) then dealer will have to add it. Some U-haul or Ryder service centers may be able to add it too.
- Mich_FExplorerAre you talking about Air Lift or Ride Rite bags ? You can damage them if you don't have at least 5? or 10? in them. My 31K has valves inside the left rear wheel well to inflate (or release air from) the bags.
Oh boy, totally misunderstood the question - thinking of wrong airbags
:o
I have a better picture, but I'm having WiFi problems uploading it. The keyed switch on the bottom right is what should be there . - donn0128Explorer IIShould be a switch on the dash
