The OP doesn't know the age of his tires. They might or might not be original. I'm not sure how you would know how old they are, or when or if the original tires were replaced. :B
Tires made after 2000 have a four-digit DOT code. The first two numbers represent the week in which the tire was made. The second two represent the year. A tire with a DOT code of 1109 was made in the 11th week of 2009. Tires with a three-digit code were made prior to 2000 and need to be replaced.
Why did you quote my post which was in response to BeaPA telling the OP that his tires wouldn't be involved in the Michelin recall, since BeaPA has no idea how old or even what brand the tires are ? :h
