Winter before last we spent a lot of time while Snowbirding looking at many units in the 40-41' foot size. We are real happy with our 2016 40R Journey. It has real wood. Very impressed with overall build quality. The 25' long slide really opens up the living space. 60" TV and seating area is very comfortable. Since taking delivery in November we've spent about 100 nights in it. The only thing I couldn't fix myself was the motherboard on the front furnace which failed the first night. Fixed by a mobile tech and paid for by Suburban.
It drives more like a big truck than a 41' bus. On the Interstate I set the cruise on 71 mph and forget it. Averaged 7.3 mph on first 6K miles. It is a real hill climber in the Four Corners.
