New Motorhome amenity, geysers?

From what I had just read Thor has a new amenity for their premium Class A, Sewage Geysers.

Even the top of the line units seem to be rather problematic.
Makes you wonder how the rest of them ever manage to get off the manufacturing facilities lot without falling apart.

That would be news to me. Bathroom sink, yes, but shower? Never seen/heard of that.
  • Looks like so many other stories out there and posted on here. Couple buys expensive motor home with dreams of 'hitting the road' then finds out the lifestyle is not suited to their tastes. What to do? Bite the bullet and sell at a loss or sue the company to get their money back? Sounds like the made the latter choice. Obviously they're not headed in the right direction. Geysers don't/can't come from the shower, even in a Thor....just sayin. Hope the company fights it...Dennis
  • Actually, I believe some brands do have the shower drain into the black tank, however some people may look at all drain water as sewage, dont know in this case.
36 closed complaints as per the BBB is great if there were only 37 voiced, if there were 200, not so much, article doesnt say. It also doesnt say they were fixed, only that the BBB closed the file.
With the comments we see in here all the time, and with Thor being a frequent recipient of the complaints, I thought this may be of interest. Personally, I dont have a dog in this hunt beyond not liking seeing someone ripped off, whether thats the case here will get answered later.

Not to defend Thor (or any RV for that matter), but the claim that sewage geysered out of their shower whenever they flushed the toilet is obviously false, since there is no connection between the two systems.
  • The article says " BBB says 36 complaints, most for problems with Thor's products or service, have been closed in the last three years."
36 in three years all resolved doesn't sound that bad to me.
