Lastly seems like it takes the Norcold fridge a long while to cool whilst the freezer seems to respond fairly quickly. I'm not on level ground in my home driveway and not sure if that is the issue. I spoke to a Winnebago employee at their HQ and they said you don't have to worry about fridges as much as people make out as they are not manufactured the way they used to be. He said the lines are more connected at angles now and said if you are comfy enough to walk in the unit its as level as it needs to be.
I would take the Winnebago statements on level as a very loose guide. Keep the RV as level as possible.
Freezer should get cold quickly. Fridge side may take up to 24 hours to get to proper temperature.
Yeah I was thinking level is a good habit to get into to eliminate possibilities.
And yes, left the fridge on Auto/Gas over night and it was nice an cool when I awoke. I've been told since that the fridge can take a GOOD while to cool down when cooling down from warm and with no fan/cold items in the fridge.
Just an update - they had me run the RV back in today at CW (I only live about half hour down the road) as I couldn't get the dinnette table down (lock bar was jammed somehow), they fixed that and also noticed with the gas detector going off every 20 seconds that it was possibly bad from the detailing people spraying over it and they installed a new one for us. It is a used RV so I appreciated they took care of it quickly and at no cost even though being Friday it was pretty busy there.
Thanks!
